Determination of the efficiency in the use of septic tanks and anaerobic filters (Biodigester) for the treatment of domestic wastewater

Introduction The construction of septic tanks or the implantation of biodigesters in residences generate a series of doubts about the quality of the treatment given to domestic wastewater; manifested in problems such as: bad odors, color of the water and the insecurity of society about the parameters that the treated liquid meets, about to return to a filter bed. Target. In the present investigation, it is proposed to demonstrate and compare the effectiveness of septic tanks and biodigesters in the treatment of domestic wastewater. Methodology. This is done through the statistical analysis of the data provided from the monitoring of septic tanks conducted by the department of drinking water and sanitation operations of ETAPA EP and from the control of outlet water that is taken in Biodigesters. To establish the quality ranges of the treated water and issue recommendations for the design and use of these wastewater treatment devices, it was necessary to tabulate statistical data from water monitoring. With the data obtained and in different scenarios in optimal conditions and specific conditions with distinctive characteristics such as: type of soil, area for its implementation, access roads and its final disposal, once the results were obtained, a comparative diagnosis was made to identify the efficiency in the use of septic tanks and biodigesters. Results. The results obtained do not show that the lack of knowledge about the conditions prior to the implementation of this type of treatment directly influences their misuse. Conclusion. We conclude that both septic tanks and biodigesters are effective in the treatment of domestic wastewater if they are well built and installed, considering the existing regulations for their construction, it is important to mention that it is essential to take measures for the use of these devices in current and future buildings and thus obtain positive results.

System for monitoring and preventing occupational accidents for the construction sector

Introduction. The present study proposes the design of an occupational accident prevention system, which is made up of two elements: the first, a psychometric component, in which a scale was validated to measure the attitude of workers regarding the use of equipment of personal protection (PPE). Methodology. For this, an instrument was developed with 16 items on the Likert scale, obtaining reliability in Cronbach's alpha of α = 0.806, after applying exploratory factor analysis, three factors were obtained, the first factor retains a 26% variance, the second a 25.9% variance, and the third retains 14.9% of the total variance; The three factors retain a total variance of 66.8%.  The second component uses a Deep Learning applied to computer vision for the creation of a detector of the use of PPE that will contribute to the prevention of risks and occupational accidents. The detector works with videos and images acquired in constructions applying the YOLO algorithm that segments areas of interest and detects whether the worker is wearing PPE. In the latter case, an alert record is also obtained. Results. The system with the components described is applied before and during the execution of work. In this sense, prior to the hiring of personnel, the psychometric measurement instrument is applied to obtain the worker's profile regarding the use of PPE. Also, the respective monitoring will be conducted with the application of computer vision. With this information collected, a database is established that will monitor the workers according to the psychometric profile and the absences registered with the artificial vision to obtain later statistical projections that allow making decisions regarding the motivation or additional training for the workers in the use of PPE.

Maintenance frequency of structural elements of five tons suspension bridges at Morona-Santiago

Introduction. Bridges constitute a main part of the road infrastructure works of a Country and therefore the objectives of the Engineering are to ensure their preservation and safe operation. The correct management that an infrastructure operator can develop depends on the information they have regarding the behavior of the elements, their wear and the knowledge of the pathologies that may affect them. However, at the local level, within the Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado Provincial de Morona-Santiago (GADPMS), Ecuador; It has not been possible to identify any manual for the correct operation of suspension bridges. Methodology. Faced with this problem, descriptive research is proposed, which seeks to measure, through recurrent observation, the percentage of damage present in structural profiles and hangers of suspension bridges that have been subjected to maintenance during the years 2019 and 2020. With the processing of the information obtained, it is sought to propose a planning in which the frequency with which to intervene in the maintenance of structural elements of suspension bridges of Morona-Santiago with a load capacity equal to or less than five tons is defined, for the period 2022-2023.

Title Design of the Neoclassicism in Matanzas cultural tourism product

The tourism market has evolved a lot in recent years, tourists are becoming more demanding and want a better quality service. It is necessary to focus on the needs of tourists since tourists will always have different tastes and needs. Tourist markets are very competitive, it is necessary to be at the forefront with the product that is offered since the purchase behavior varies in the different market segments. At present, there is a growing demand for cultural tourism products that allow the client to live unique experiences that mix culture, nature, traditions, all without lacking technology, since the client of these times seeks to be connected with the world 24 hours a day. The city of Matanzas is an ideal destination to develop attractive products for this new post-covid client who seeks to be more connected with the country's culture and the local population. Matanzas is fortunate to have in its foundational square three unparalleled exponents of neoclassicism in the country: the Palace of Justice, the Sauto Theater and the Firemen's Museum. Like these, there are other buildings of this style in the city that are not being fully exploited as tourist resources. Therefore, the objective of the present work is to design the Neoclassicism cultural tourist product in Matanzas. The main empirical method used was the bibliographic review and tools such as the logical framework matrix and the fractioned structure of the work.
