The need for the legal configuration of cannibalism as a crime in the COIP

The present research presents to aim to investigate if it is necessary to classify cannibalism as a crime in Ecuadorian criminal law. It is the responsibility of the State to guarantee the inviolability of life and human rights. At present, acts that threaten the dignity, integrity, health, and life of human beings can occur. One of these cases is cannibalism, to understand this act you proceeded to investigate what it is and how these acts affect society as well as a brief investigation of the significance of cannibalism that has occurred in other countries and the law vacuum that exists in the Organic Comprehensive Criminal Code to judge these antisocial behaviors. To structure this investigation, some cases of cannibalism have been supported where only homicide has been judged and no articles have been established within the comprehensive criminal code that judge cannibal acts, leaving open the possibility of carrying out these acts without being judged as a crime, and it also making it impossible to timely collect data to make decisions about criminal policy. Once argued what cannibalism is, the acts committed under this precept of cannibalism and the legal interest affected by these acts can be clearly identified, and a proposal for the definition of this figure within criminal legislation is proposed. Where sanctions are established for the different acts of cannibalism committed by people, considering the manner and circumstances in which they are committed and judged based on the seriousness of their acts. As a result, that a reform in the Organic Comprehensive Criminal Code helps to eliminate the law vacuums, allowing the application of sanctions for acts that harm the right of society to live in harmony.

Wind energy in rural areas of Ecuador

Introduction. Renewable energies claim to be the way to decontaminate the planet, there have been many decades of pollution to which the earth has been exposed, one of the great problems is the great dependence on fossil fuels, this has caused large spaces on the planet contaminated, diseases to human beings, extinction of species and many other serious consequences that have yet to be seen. Objective. This research aims to make an exposition of the possible scenarios regarding the approach of the use of air as a material to generate energy resources in Ecuador. Methodology. By means of a documentary bibliographical investigation, in which the different sources of information are reviewed in this regard, such as scientific publications, thesis, or others that contribute to the construction of the investigation. Results. As results, the fact that Ecuador has all the characteristics to be able to make a transition to the use of renewable energies such as wind power stands out, which even already has this type of projects, however the high costs and the lack of vision have reduced the capacity and commitment to a friendly change with the environment, on the other hand, the positive impact that this type of energy would have for rural communities is evident. Conclution. The geographical characteristics in which the country is located, in which there is an equatorial calm, do not allow wind energy to be used in all the geographical areas of the country. This does not mean that it is not possible, only that spaces must be located where the wind potential can be used to the maximum and in this way positively impact these rural areas.

Recovery times with three anesthetic induction plans in canine females undergoing Ovariohysterectomy

Introduction. In all surgical acts, providing a correct anesthetic plan is crucial since adequate analgesia, pre-anesthesia, induction, and anesthetic maintenance must be maintained, based on the requirements of each patient to be operated on, considering that the anesthetic plan is the essential part in surgeries. Objective To compare the recovery times in three anesthetic induction plans in canine females undergoing ovarian hysterectomy, its importance is relevant, establishing an adequate anesthetic plan gives us greater safety and efficacy in patients undergoing surgery, Methodology. An experimental quantitative positivist analysis was used, a descriptive statistic was also conducted, using tables and figures to compare the anesthetic planes, in addition to using the ANOVA model, a 95% Tukey test to make comparisons two by two and see which is the best anesthetic plan in terms of recovery time from anesthetic induction. Results. The data of thirty young female canines were taken from the Espinoza-Vet Veterinary Office, the same ones that underwent surgery (OVH) for the evaluation of the anesthetic planes. An anesthetic plan was applied to each experimental group (10 canines each group). The working groups (experimental units) were established in a completely randomized manner. Conclusion. It was concluded that all the drugs used were administered intravenously, each drug individually and consecutively; It was found that the recovery time when making the comparison between groups is statistically significant (p<0.05). In this way, there is an effect of the anesthetic plane on the post-surgical recovery time, that is, the values of the recovery time are different between the plans, therefore, the recovery time is different in all the groups.
